If I wet the cotton and rub to the eyes, is it will harm them? Any ointment or medicine suitable for them?

That is usually secondary to one of the upper respiratory infections. Nothing over the counter will be appropriate. Go to the vet for medicine.

Make sure they get there vaccinations and this will rule out alot of problems. Are they sneezing also? or seem to have a cold at all? Make sure they do not have a upper respiratory
infection. If not clear up take them to the vet as an upper respiratory infection can be deadly to a kitten and older cat.
If that is what they have, they will have to go to vet for anitbiotics as they will most likely not be able to fight the infection off on its own. I have had two cats that had upper resp. and they had to be put on anibiotics. Good luck, God bless. Enjoy your new pets...
