my budgies beak is starting to get really long. he has a cuttlefish, rough perches etc but he wont use them. what can i do to trim his beak?

Without the proper diet, lack of chewing on toys, and not preening will cause the beak to grow to an unsafe legnth. By this point the budgie cannot eat because its beak it too long.
If your birds beak continues excessive growth, it may be due to health problems such as a liver problem. Take your bird to a vet for a check up and beak trim.

An abnormally long beak in a budgie is often a sign of malnutrition or liver disease. Take him to a qualified avian vet for an exam, and they will also trim his beak properly.

You have to get a pair of nail clippers and hold your budgie on his back and cut the beak in a V shape

If you are to scared I can cut it for £1 I live in Exeter UK

Any local vet will trim the beak down. it's best to go to an avian vet but mosts vets know how to do this. I have to do the same with my eclectus.

go to the vet and they will give you a local listing on people who can trim that beak down.

Wrap him in a towel and file it with a nail filer.
