I had a Christian mention the Samson story to me.....does it strike anyone as strange that Judeo-Christianity hails the Samson story but thinks suicide bombings are immoral?

It is not a story that Christians are ever encouraged to replicate, so I'm not sure why you think anyone "hails" the Samson story. I'm not sure I remember the story accurately, but I don't believe Samson killed random victims. Wasn't he supposed to bridge relationships between two nations, but killed the opposition after they betrayed him? (Something like that.)

I was raised in a Christian faith, but am no longer practicing. Nothing in my religious upbringing ever hinted at promoting suicide terrorist attacks, but even if it did that wouldn't be an excuse. I don't care what any religion says--Christian or otherwise--suicide bombings ARE immoral.

((sighing))

Samson is not a myth.
Read Judges 16.
The story of the Samson, Israel's chief judge.
Suicide bombers by definition kill anyone...mainly the innocent non-combatants & themselves.
Samson did none of those things.

No.. I can see how you think that...

That was the back up plan for Samson not following God's plan to the letter...

The Samson "myth" exists to show the ruin that can come to a person when they disobey God (i.e., telling someone the secret of Samson's strength).

i do no longer why. i think of it is regularly using fact Elvis image way the undesirable-boy lover that everybody wanted. Michael in no way expressed himself as a "undesirable-boy" and continuously saved a sparkling checklist consequently what ever he does is going to be in its very own highlight, that's reason greater human beings pay interest to Michael and the fake impression than Elvis and real actuality. additionally regularly using fact Priscilla Presley in no way made her courting with Elvis a great subject like she substitute into compelled into it, she confirmed interest in him and confirmed that she enjoyed him. in assessment to the little boy who claimed Michael had touched him, who made it a great subject. the biggest reason that Michael is attacked greater is manly using fact he hasn't as quickly as suggested "sure, I rapped him" or "sure, I touched him without permission." there substitute into no longer something to confess and using this Michael substitute into continuously stricken continuously observed, Elvis made it popular that he and Priscilla have been courting and have been interested in one yet another consequently he wasn't stricken as lots approximately it. yet another key reason this modification into this sort of vast subject is needless to say racism. Michael Jackson is probable the main ordinarily used African-American on earth and consequently human beings desire him to screw-up. they desire him to be abusive, or to finally end up in reformatory or to pass "ghetto" on somebody, that's a tactic Obama has additionally found out of (word how he in no way provides a rapid reaction to the click question and that he continuously stops to think of it over.) Being that Michael has very almost the cleanest checklist ever he's a ordinary objective. Michael is the wonderful entertainer, humanitarian and impression of the widespread-day which makes him a ordinary objective for the click who will continuously attempt to adhere a label on him. have faith me purely using fact he's lifeless would not propose the quest on MJ airborne dirt and airborne dirt and dust is off. he would be attacked for as long as he would be remembered and that's a actuality.

About the killing...well as Sam Witwicky said, "No Sacrifice, No Victory."
