I tried it in middle school (now in college) .. didnt work for me at all though. I eventually went to a dermatologist and he said your better off buying Clean and Clear/Clearasil because it has the same about of Benzoyl Peroxide in it as Proactiv.

How long have you been using it? Usually you can tell the difference within 2-3 months of usage. Your face has to 'purge' out all the gunk out of you pores. So basically you get worse before you get better.

If it doesnt work .. I would go to a dermatologist. I had minor acne and broke out every so often. When I went to the Derm. I had a few zits all over and within 2 weeks my face cleared up .. and I havent gotten any new ones. I use Tea Tree Oil soap (can be found at the Body Shop) to prevent zits from forming and then my acne medication (Duac) at nighttime.

So you may need something a little stronger to help clear you up.

Goodluck!

I have and honestly, it's done wonders for my face. I had a really bad breakout on my cheeks and chin last year (mainly due to stress), and I've started using Proactiv last month. Pretty much all the acne and redness is gone, and my skin is starting to heal again. It's important though that you do all 3 steps everyday - if you skip a step or don't follow the directions, it will definitely come back to haunt you. It's kind of expensive, but definitely worth it. I'm 24 by the way....I don't know if that helps.

Well i work for the company and the product really does work. And for all of you that say it doesn't it is because you all wanted to be CHEAP and not buy the kit needed for your skin type! I'm so tired of all you people complaining it doesn't work it is for prevention to mild acne, not severe. Thats why you had to go to the dermatologist because you all had severe acne. We have an extra strength kit that would have work just as well saving you hundreds of dollars. Second of all everyone that says it stopped working; it is impossible for the product to stop working due to the fact it is a topical treatment and nothing your body can grow immune too so stop trying to pass the blame because you didn't keep up with your regime. Yes the mask works beautifully but you CAN NOT use it solely. our products were made to be used together in combination. Each product does something to help boost the others. And to you people using the cheap stuff all your doing is making your skin worse by stripping it of all its natural oils that it needs so keep up the good work! and you will have age spots by the time your 40! So keep using the product make sure you got the right products for you skin ie Daily oil control for oily skin or a moisturizer for dry skin, actually everyone needs a moisturizer. So if you use the products correctly and have everything you need it WILL work for you. After all cheap products give you cheap results!

My daughter is 40 and uses it. She has had really good luck with it. Her 12 year old son also uses it but i don't think that it works as well for him. He probably isn't as diligent about using it but it may also just work better on older people. My suggestion is going to the dermatologist. Good luck

I used it for about eight months and it only made my acne worse. A lot worse. I went to the dermatologist and she prescribed Differin, it worked really well, until I stopped then it got kinda bad again so now I am using it again, but I am still a teenager so it probably go away in a few years on its own.

i did and it worked beautifully! (for the first month!!!!) then it was back to normal brakouts. i eventually turned to a derm and got retin A. i use that now with moisturizer and it works waaaaaaay better and its more reliable.

the only thing i can say is that the mask works from proactive for drying out zits quick but you can buy one at walgreens for way cheaper. now i use neutrogena spot treatment instead. it works better.

I don't know why it isn't working for some but it works pretty well for me. My skin is clearer and softer. It's not perfect, but the improvements it's made are worth it to keep using it in my case. All you acne suffers should seriously consider your diet and drinking more water and taking vitamins as well, not just totally depending on a product to magically fix it. I am going to start doing that soon.

I actually tried it about a year ago and it didn't work at all. The product really disappointed me and I've just hated the infomercial since then. Maybe it was just me who the product didn't work for but I think it's not as good as they want you to think.

didn't work for me -- except the proactive sulfur mask!!!*the white stuff that hardens*
i swear by that stuff, however, proactive's 3 set system didn't do **** for me!!!
it did work for one of my friends though -- it took around 3 or 5 months to work however=P
