think it annoying that we answer with quotes from the Bible or something about Jesus. It's really confusing because they want our point of view, but don't want any info backing it up, making it useful.

I know it isn't all of you, but in general....

Because the bible isn't an answer...give your *OWN* viewpoint...not a bible-fed view or a viewpoint spoonfed to you by your minister or the pope...

we are trying to understand why most christians are the way they are...The knowledge you have form Jesus is what you can read in the bible and many times, most christians just make up things there are not there just to make their point. Most christians use bible as a historical source but then they interpret.

because if we wanted to hear the bible speak, we would read the bible. and trust me, I do read the bible. I don't mind if people use the bible to strengthen their argument, to show that you do not stand alone in that conviction. but pretty often people will simply answer with a biblequote. I don't think that is how a discussion works.

Tell me, would you take offense if I quoted from the bible as well. Here is something the bible says that Jesus said about his enemies:

Luke 19:27-28
27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them - bring them here and kill them in front of me.
28 After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.

It clearly shows a mean side of Jesus and should be taking into account for all those that say they love him. They must love the good and the bad to truly start to love him. Jesus clearly asks us to break one of the 10 utmost commandments: "thou shalt not kill"

Always answer with the Word. If they don't like the answer, then they can stop asking the question.

1 Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Most of those asking questions on this forum are not looking for answers. They just want to belittle Christianity.

Because they aren't asking a question. They don't want you to answer with the truth, they think that they are insulting us. When we give them answers to their questions explaining the truth, they are disappointed that their insult has an explanation.

I feel the same way. I have given up answering questions for non-believers because every time I do, I always get my answer deleted or get plenty of emails telling me my beliefs are stupid and I'm stupid for believing them.
I don't understand it, they want our opinion and then attack what I write....

well when we try to answer with the Bible they get annoyed... so we try not to answer with the Bible and they get annoyed that we aren't supporting our beliefs. So it's a no win situation.
