It has made me a more compassionate and loving person. Since I recognize that I am imperfect and prone to error, I am constantly learning and growing. I examine myself in the light of the scriptures and, like a mirror, it reflects the kind of person I really am, not who I think I am. Just as a person makes adjustments if he looks into a literal mirror and sees that he needs to straighten his tie or comb his hair to make himself presentable, a true Christian looks into God's word and makes adjustments to his personality. (Colossians 3:10) Some of these adjustments may not be easy. Just as looking in a mirror and finding you need to lose quite a bit of weight requires far more effort than straightening ones tie. That is why we must continuously and constantly look into the mirror of God's word, while making the necessary adjustments to bring our lives more and more in harmony with God's will. (James 1:22-25, Ephesians 6:24)

God has helped me become a better person, not religion.

He has helped me through the Bible and all of it's lessons and proverbs.

He also taught me about walking in the Spirit and walking in the flesh.

Our bodies are born into a sinful world by once we have the root of God in our hearts it will cleanse us from the inside out.

Personally, it has given me insight into the moral values of the world around me, and I also feel very secure when I know that I've got someone watching out for me and listening to my prayers. Forgiveness of sin, well, that's definitely a relief, because I sure am not perfect. I mess up all the time, but God's love, grace, and mercy is right there to pick me up.

Christianity is where I learned that God was the Everlasting Father who was adopting sons and training them to reign in life with Christ. That prepared me to expect Him to speak to me in a unique way. When I asked Him questions and He responded with scriptures, I began to know the comforting voice of my Shepherd. As I began to rely upon Him to bring me and His provision together, I found Him faithful and true. Out of this knowledge of the Father and the Son which He has sent, I am able to comfort others as they face challenges to their righteousness, peace, and joy.

It taught me to love others, listen to my parents, be a good person in general. Yes, nonchristians can do this stuff, but Jesus helps you do it better and with more meaning.

Sorry for the bit about Jesus. People don't like it when we use the Bible for referance to answer the questions.

This is a great question, thanks for asking it. Jesus set the example of what we should strive to be. He was kind, humble, gentle, wise, compassionate, and had the heart of a servant. As Christians we strive to be like Him.
