Are you telling me, that because of parchments two thousand years old, written by other ordinary human beings, that you can state 'for sure' that there is only 'one' god/creator of the whole universe/s? That you can state that god/creator is a male? Also, how come that 'one' god/creator favours your country/peoples above all else, that you are some kind of 'chosen' people, above all others? Has a name that 'you' have given him!? ............ Its 'so' obvious that 'religion' has evolved from various peoples, over thousands of years, can religious people not see this? ... Just one more question! .... When moses stood on the mountain, with the commandments carved onto the tablet/s of stone! ... Which language was it written in? .. Because hebrew language had not been invented then!! .... Surely, coming out of Egypt, after being there 'four hundred years', it would have been carved in 'egyptian hieroglyphs'??

Good points, not only is Religion of little evidence, but there is powerful evidence against it!

I think everyone should be open minded and thoughtful like you.

It is ignorant to be blind to the facts right?

The ten commandments could possible have been written in Egyption. But it is also possible that it was written in a language that was unique to the hebrew people. When the hebrew people went into Egypt, they were just one family (Jacob and his descendents). Surely they had a language which they would have passed on even through their captivity in Egypt. Egypt did not try to assimilate Jacob's descendents, they simply made them slaves. After 400 years, there were almost 2 million hebrew slaves in Egypt, all the descendents of Jacob, and they did have historical records because that is what Moses compiled. They also had another book called the book of Jasher which had been kept from the time of Adam. So the hebrew people did have a written language. Most of the hebrew people being led by Moses probably couldn't read anyway, so God may have written the ten commandments in their language or it is possible that it could have been in Egyptian because Moses would have been familiar with both languages since he was raised in the house of Pharoah. Also , Moses and Joshua compiled the book of Genesis in the language of Hebrew, so how can you say that there was no Hebrew language at that time?
Also, He told the people in the old testament how they should refer to Him. People did not decide on His name. Also, if you read the entire Bible, you will see that God's chosen people is not simply a particular nation. It is believers in Jesus Christ regardless of their nationality. He is the God of the universe, not of one nation. And He always revealed Himself and spoke of Himself as masculin. This also was not the doing of people. Stop blaming people for things that God did.

there are many predictions in the Bible many have already happened and many are taking place now man doesnt have the power to see the future only someone holy and perfect creating EVERYTHING could possibly do this. if you have a Bible read the book of Isaiah, Luke, and Revelation and see how Isaiah predicts what will happen in Luke even though Isaiah was written hundreds of years before and how things in revelation are happening now but were written 2,000 years ago. The old testament was written in Hebrew and yes, the commandents were probably written in egyptian. Also God blesses countries that follow Him we started on christian basics even though we're coming away from it God has blessed us but americans are NOT God's chosen people jews are. But since Jesus died on the cross everyone is equal and God loves a murderer just as much as a perfectionist. I have a question now how can anyone know for sure that evolution is what made everything!? they dont have a missing link.

There is a very simple answer to your question. You know when you meet Him. Everything you write off, as I used to, as no more than 'old parchment' comes to be in perfect balance with the One you meet with.
The Egyptian hieroglyphs are known to have been erased in some cases, Tut Ankh Amun name for example. How do you know all the hieroglyphs have been discovered?
Meeting Him means an end to all your questions about who He is.
I have a feeling your questionsare asked in the certainty that they cannot be answered. Well I'm afraid you need to ask the questions of God, not man, and it would be good to ask them with a need to truly hear the answer, sooner rather than later.

Look up the meaning of the word Almighty.
By definition the God Who creates all things has to be THE Almighty. He cannot have the job on a time share basis with all the other gods that man likes to invent.

And there hangs the nub. When you haven't met with God, and I'm mean through the only way that any corrupted human can, the sacrifice of His Son, the only way you can try to see or understand him is through the power of your own imagination.
Not having felt the reality of His presence, and experienced what he does in your life, you imagine that anyone who claims to have met god is only stating their idea of who He is.

Your concept of finding who god is ie; all roads lead to the top of the mountain is the same as saying that you can walk into any bus station leap on any bus and expect it to be the one that will get you home. After all they're all buses aren't they?

If a person is going to talk about God they need to weigh up just what the people who say they know Him are saying about Him.

There's a fantastic book by a guy called JohnBlanchard called 'Does God Believe In Atheists?'. In one chapter he points out that most peoples attitude to whether God exists is treated with probably less interest than the question of the existence of the Abominable Snowman.

He rightly points out that the consequences of discovering the Yeti to be a real is hardly of life changing importance for most people. But how can people seriously asking about the existence of God, and the eternal consequences to us all of His existence, simply treat the idea with the same degree of concern as they would the Yeti question?

If you properly examine all the 'god's that men worship you soon find that they cannot possibly be the same god let alone THE God.

We were all made by the same God but we have turned to worshipping our own god's. God is not man and unlike the minds and hearts of man, He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

If you can ever let yourself get to the place when you genuinely want to know the God who is the Creator of all things, and you call on Him. He will answer and HE will show you who He is. You will no longer need to rely on your own guesswork.

My Friend, You may not yet know it but you are seeking God by asking these questions. You may not believe in him, but he believes in you. You will find him if you seek him through Jesus his Son who died for You, just take a little time to talk to him.
Regarding the time when Moses received the 10 commandments, the people of Egypt spoke a different language, this has been shown by the writings on the Pyramids. In February of this year, I and many others climbed Mt Sinai, where God had spoken to Moses, and given him the Tablets of stone with the Commandments. We all felt a sense of the Presence of God in that place. It matters little what language they were written in, but what does matter is that we all obey them, for the good of all Humankind Bless you and yours, and may you turn to do his work, and not be one of the many voices for Satan on this earth.

The Christian God was very careful to prove Himself when He had the Bible written. He wanted to make sure you would recognize him as a God when he acted. What he did is predict the future. No person on earth, no medium or psychic, can claim the one hundred percent prediction rate of God. God gave names, dates, and places so we can check out history and verify his work. He even gave us the very words someone would say centuries before the fact!

By taking this route, God would not have to appear and prove himself over and over again to new groups of people.

Now if you wanted everyone to know that you, as God, were going to come as a human being, you would explain what you were like so you would be recognized. You would put in the city of your birth, where you grew up, what kinds of deeds you would do, your temperament, your purpose, even how you would die.

God did all that in the Old Testament. It was all in written form four hundred years before Jesus came. The New Testament gospels follow Jesus and point out some of the places where He fulfilled the prophecies.

Let me give you an amazing example of prophecy.

“Daniel 11, written in the 6th century B.C., gives an amazingly thorough account of Alexander’s Grecian kingdom, divided first into four competing factions after his death. It predicts details of the struggle between the Ptolemy and Seleucid empires for a period of 160 years, right down to the advent of the Roman Empire. That is why the skeptics used to claim that the book of Daniel could not have been written before 164 B.C., but now we have proof of a much earlier writing text.

“The prophet Isaiah (44:28) gave the name of a king not yet born and of a kingdom not yet instituted and of an event that would not take place for another 150 years. He predicted that a king named Cyrus would commission the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. Cyrus did come to the throne in Persia, and in the first year of his reign in 538, he issued a decree that the temple in Jerusalem should be rebuilt. (See 2 Chronicles 36:22-Ezra 1:1-3. This prophecy described in the Bible is confirmed by the discovery of a Babylonian inscription.)

“Daniel actually gave the time when Christ would come into the world and die. Daniel (9:24) predicted that Messiah would be cut off (die) 483 Hebrew years after the issuing of the Persian decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem. Artaxerxes Longimanus issued that decree on March 5, 444 B.C. (Neh. 2:1-8), granting the Jews permission to rebuild Jerusalem’s city walls. This, too, is confirmed by archeological discoveries. Four hundred eighty-three prophetic years (360 days to a year) and seven days later, Jesus was crucified as predicted. How could a prophet accurately predict the date of Messiah’s death hundreds of years before it took place, unless he was the ‘voice’ of God as he claimed?”

Thanks to the Dead Sea Scrolls found at Qumran, we know with certainty the above prophecies date before the occurrence of actual prophesied events regarding Jesus.

He has proven His existence perfectly and wonderfully. The Christian God is the true God.

When you have become a 'saved' or 'born again' Christian and have the Spirit of the Lord dwelling in you...when you can converse with God...by that Holy Spirit and through the 'living God' Jesus Christ...you do not need to ask such questions as they become irrelevant.
Being a Christian means putting faith before yourself in the first instance and seeking the face of God by whatever sensible means are at your disposal.
Everyone seems to be a sceptic until they find the truth for themselves...I suggest you go look for it but in a positive way.

we didn't say it God the creator did! You act like the messenger is the one making it all up. The "ordinary" people you speak of were taught told what to say by God. One one God why would there be many? Did a whole bunch of "polymorphs" decide to make themselves and say let's just start a universe?? And they all had designated jobs? Cmon' how powerful are they if they can't handle the whole universe. One God, three forms, nothing else.

All good points, the fact is I wouldn't want to somehow convince you that there is a God. Faith is a gift, that is why I believe, I don't have any more answer than that and if I said I did, it wouldn't be true.

If one day you wish to seek God, you will find Him, but I don't think it's right to try to talk people into Christianity. If you ask me what I believe (and I realize you haven't), then I would and only then would I feel it's right to tell you.

By definition, there can only be one 'Creator' GOD.
That is the one who revealed himself to Abraham.
It's the one revered by Jews, Christians, & Muslims.
We refer to GOD by the male pronoun in English.
Jesus also called GOD his Father, & Mary his Mother.
But GOD has no need of gender, of course.

By parchments I presume you're referring to scriptures.
What's recorded in the Bible goes back 4000 years.
It was passed down orally from the earliest times.
It was written & copied by generations of different people.
GOD revealed 'himself' to many peoples in different ways.
Jews are referring to their own unique revelation.
Moses would have written in Aramaic not Egyptian.
He is also credited with writing the first 5 books, the Torah.
