You have to places that you can contact. First contact the Better Business Buero and get them involved. It does not cost any money to file a complaint against a business. They will help you get a resolution and also will have it on public record that this place has a complaint against them. Used them many times they are very helpful and it only takes a few minutes to complete the form. When completing the form be VERY detailed, more details better chance you have of getting the resolution your way. Tell them about the deposit, about it not being posted on the phone, back of the door, on their website, or that you were not told. Give dates, times, numbers and names if you can.

Second for the rooms being dirty you need to contact their local health department. Not the one where you are from but, theirs I am sure youc an find this info on the web. Check with the cities goverment website or chamber of commerce you should be able to find details. Again when you file the complaint with them be very detailed, was there stuff on the floor, walls ect...any bugs??? Again they are nice people and will follow up with you. They will also put it on public record that they have a complaint.
Third, well when I have a bad time at a place I make sure to ago to all the major travel websites such as, Expedia, Travelocity, Tripadvisor ect.....Give them bad ratings, tell people about the rooms, phone calls ect. I know you are not getting money from doing this but, bad reviews equal bad business and if everyone that had a bad time like you did gave reviews people would stop going there!
Was the hotel part of a major company or chain??? If so be sure to contact the corporate office, email, call and write them. Keep complaining till you get to the top! I have found with them the more you push the more they will respond.
I hope this helps you good luck!

They don't have to remove any charges. I work for a hotel and all the information is listed in the guest directory. That is your responsibility as a guest to make yourself familiar with such charges by looking through that book. It clearly states it under the "Telephone" section.
They don't have to tell you everything at the time of check in. They should familiarize you with general things: such as check in time, check out, cancelltion policy, hours of the pool, restaurant etc. Other information you can ask-they will answer, but thats the most you'll get at check in. If you would like to know everything about the hotel's policies either specifically ask or look through the guest directory book.
Hope this helps! Sorry that happened to you!

You should report it to the front desk, if you are from the area and live there go there and show receipts and explain to the front desk your problem, or you can get a phone number, go to yellowpages.com and look for the Hotel name and the city and state!
