http://www.delta.com/planning_reservations/special_travel_needs/pet_travel_information/pet_requirements_restrictions/ Check the Delta site. When I moved from Florida to Washington my dog and cats flew in the cargo hold. Delta has a "Delta Dash" cargo where you can fly the pets as cargo when you're not going to be on the flight. Prices vary depending on the flight distance and size of the crate so check with the airline for specifics.

yo need to check with the airport but I wouldn't get a pup unseen and shipped . It really isn't safe to ship pups especcially witht eh weather as they are just put in the cargo part with all the other luggage and if that is how you feel a pup should be treated then go for it. I have heard and seen many horror stories.

well you know it really depends on them what price they will be giving to ship a pup.
