A Walmart cashier will vary greatly depending on the area of the country. Most now work 'part time' which is about 32-34 hours a week. Add about $1 to whatever minimum wage is in the state where you live and you can figure that's what most new cashiers make at Walmart. You can add about $.40 for each additional year they've worked there. If minimum wage in your state is, say $6, a cashier who has worked for Walmart for 5 years would earn about $9.00. There is a pay cap there now, so most never earn more then $11 an hour.
A Walmart cashier would earn about $1000 a month before taxes.

It depends on where you live, amount of education (some people come out of school with a BS or BA +15 or +30 or even a Masters) and the district you want to work for.
