Go to Wal- Mart and get one of the jewelry kits the kids buy to make wrist bands and stuff. They come with lots of beads and bangles. Then go to Gander mountain and get a lot of hooks and line, everything else you need to make harnesses.
Spend Sundays putting together Walleye harnesses. I only use my own after the years. They work well. We always fill out the limits.
Look in the fishing mags to get pictures of harnesses and try and copy them, then come up with your own.

I start with a 16" piece of line for leader and you snell the first hook on the tag end and come up to needed length and snell on the second hook!(same goes for if a 3 hook rig just add next hook)I then tie a surgens loop to the end line!
