i have been using them for awhile now and am finding that one arm is developing faster than the other. is this possible ? if so what can i do to cerrect this/ should i use more repetitions for the less developed arm?

Make sure your form is correct on the smaller arm.... and maybe use a slightly larger weight on the smaller arm than on the bigger arm.
