If you are really talking about instant oatmeal, you boil a 1/3cup of water and add the instant oatmeal packet. That will make about 1/3 cup, so 3 times.
For the stuff that comes in the big tub , boil 3/4 cup water with 1/4 cup milk, add 4 T oatmeal and some butter and salt and cook until it thickens, a few minutes, stirring.

Just bring some water to a boil... pour it over the instant oatmeal that's in a bowl... stir. Let sit (well,it'll sit long enough on the tray getting to the resident.) Serve.
Usually it's ½ cup water per 1 packet of oatmeal, so you'll probably need 2 packets.
(Shame they can't use real oatmeal... it only takes 3-5 minutes)

Boil the water in a tea kettle... It only takes like 2/3 or 3/4 cup of hot water... put the oatmeal in the bowl and add the hot water... too much water and it will get soupy... when I've done that I microwave it and it thickens up...
I assume that's the instant oatmeal in the packets???

First , bring some water to a boil.It should say how much on the back of the packet.
Second, put the needed amount of oatmeal in the water, stir.
Third, stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 cinnamon stick and a pinch of nutmeg.
Stir until your thicknest level is reached.
Before serving take out cinnamon stick or leave as a garnish.

boil water first, add the oat-meal n cook it for 2-3 minutes. now your question abt how much water is requires depends on for how many people are you planning to cook . the consistency is always written on the pack of the oatmeal.
