It could be your battery in your phone that is getting ready to go dead, some phones have a different battery that controls the callerid, if it is an older phone....OR....If it is SBC/AT&T and you are late on your bill, sometimes they disable all the "extra" features before they disconnect.....kinda like a gentle reminder...Also too if you have had your phone dissconnected and reconnected you have to call and request all the extra services sometimes. Otherwise, go with the one suggestion about borrowing another phone with caller id and seeing if it is your phone or the phone company. hope this helps!!

If you have more than one phone and all show caller ID failure, call the phone company as they have a problem.

If it is on one phone the phone is faulty.

If you have only one phone, borrow a working one and see if it works.
