We've been going through a heat wave and we think she just gets hot at night. But she's getting our mom up at all hours to get a drink or to go outside. We'd put a water dish in the room but the poor thing has a bladder the size of a thimble, and she'd be up even more often then before.

Is there a sleeping medication for dogs out there our vet could subscribe for her?

A doggie door and a dish of water outside would be the cure for all of you! Easy to teach doggy to use the door as you put her on the inside of the house, hunker down and call her through the door and stick you hand in it to show her where you are. Then put her outside and call her from the inside. After a few tries of this she will understand. Only about 50-70 dollar investment too!

I would check with the vet just to make sure that nothing is seriously wrong. You can also try wetting a towel alittle and putting it where she can lay on it. My dogs like frozen water bottles..

Yeah, check with the vet, explain your problem. Also what might help would be to give your dog a good haircut, it really helps them cool off.

Don't medicate a dog cause she is getting up at night. If she has to go out, she should be taken out.. If she is up cause she is awake and bored, then you need to get her more exercise thru the day.

Ask the vet. Or air condition the room.

I'd check with your vet. She could have a serious bladder infection.
