Governor Janet Napolitano signed 29 of the bills and vetoed five. Included in the bills signed were three immigration bills, a bill regarding municipal sales tax incentives and a bill improving our air quality.
Among the bills signed today:
• Senate Bill 1552 -- Allows Arizona to clean its air and meet federal standards by the end of this year.
• House Bill 2515 --Ends the practice by cities of giving large tax breaks to businesses that choose to locate within their boundaries.
• SB 1265 --Courts must deny bail to persons charged with serious felonies when there is probably cause to believe they are in the country illegally.
• HB 2779 -- Imposes sanctions on employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants.
• HB 2467 --The bill requires individuals to show documentation of legal citizenship to receive state services, per the requirements of Proposition 200 passed by voters in 2006.

Yes, it is good news for Arizona and for patriotic Americans, but it is bad news for La Raza! Arizona really does need to have the border fence built there to keep out the illegal alien invaders, so all Arizonans should contact their US Reps and demand that the fence that Congress ordered to be built actually is built.
All loyal Americans must contact their US House representative and ask that The Secure Borders First Act of 2007 is passed. We must demand that the President enforce all of our immigration laws. Bush has been very lax in prosecuting businesses that knowingly employ illegal aliens. We won a major victory in defeating the Senate Shamnesty bill, but we cannot rest.

Strange, I wonder what Mexicans have against obeying laws. After all, if you don't break the law, no need to fear any Sheriff. You sure do spend a lot of time on the internet trying to defend illegal invaders, you'd think that time would be better spent working or trying to get an education, but hwy, we all can't be winners. I urge everyone to" just say no" to cut-and-paste LOL>

Good for Arizona, I particularly like 1265 and 2779 and 2467 is pretty great also.
Way to go Arizona, congrats for doing what our federal government fails to do on a regular basis... Wonder what McCain thinks?

Everything looks good to me except 1552 which means because of the winter air inversion over Phx and Tucson you won't be able to have fires in your fireplaces at home.

Very. But it is strict. It is a 'knowing' hiring of illegal immigrant standard, which is hard to prove, but the first time you are fined, the second time you lose your business license.
