They are not allowed to do that because its a public school. You are not in a Catholic or Christian private school. There are children that come from different religions. It is against the law. If having your mom and/or dad talk to the principal doesnt work, they can go to the school board and report the teacher(s) & principal.
The way you learn about Jesus from Christianity will be different from Islam.
Its also our right as stated the first amendment in the US constitution.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
If they want to teach Jesus thru Christianity, they should have a "Christian" Club where many in the school can join for an extra activity. (Thats the freedom of religion & speech)
Also "Ditto" on what "Linda B" said above.

Why don't your friends know? if it is such a part of you then you should be proud of it.
I went to high school with a brother and two sisters who were Muslim, and at Christmastime they politely went somewhere else and read their books or something else. I always felt bad for them because they were not included in all the stuff we did. Their parents made sure that it was known to the school that they were Muslim and that they were not to participate in certain activities.
I would suggest that if your religion is really so very important, then everyone would know that about you.

Sorry that you are uncomfortable. There have been efforts to make Christmas more acceptable for non-christians but these efforts have led to complaints that it is being ruined. As a Muslim, you have holy days. This is just a holy day for Christians. You believe in Jesus too but in a different way so you at least have something in common.

No their not supposed to teach you about Jesus in a public school. Its normal for schools to sing Christmas songs, I'm not sure about the Silent Night thing. I am not Christian and I remember doing the x-mas songs in my public school. When you say learn about Jesus, I'm not sure what you mean. You don't have to sing the songs if you don't want to and if someone tell you, that you have to. Remember that you don't, and you don't have to tell them that you're a Muslim if you don't want to either.

Jesus has a historical role, and the impact of Christianity in the West is pretty big (as much as Mohammad would be in the Arab nations). Yes, in that sense. Singing songs about Jesus was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court sometime in the past. I would complain about it.

No public school in America is allowed to teach about God or Jesus. Or pray in their names either. But almost every school where I live has rooms set aside for Muslims to go pray. For some reason Muslims get special treatment and Christians and all others have to do without

Most Xians do not like non believers teaching about their Jesus, especially because there are so many denominations and they cannot agree about what he said or meant.

Similarly, when a social studies class tried to teach a class about India and Hindus, the teachers received so many complaints that they had to pull the curriculum.
Basically, the PC movement has insured that American students are ignorant and blind rather then exposed them to any of the controversy of the real world.

That is NOT right! You should speak up about this! Public schools CANNOT speak about religon! Those who are obbsessed with learning one religion and are against others can go to a differnent school.

Don't be a liar- I know it's accepted to lie as a Muslem for the purpose of gaining the upper hand but someday you will pay for your deception. You don't have to sing silent night so don't do it. But also- don't petition your school to build footbaths for the expression of prayer because of your religion. This is happening at the University of Michigan right now. This nation has been founded on Christian principles- if you don't like it go to Iran.

No, they aren't. There are much more important things that the students need to learn about. They can learn about church stuff on sunday.
