I know of no mention of a "False Witness" in Revelation.
The False Prophet is debated by many denominations.
"False Prophet" appears 3 times:
Revelation 16:13; 19:20; and 20:10
It is a part of the "unholy trinity," a contrast to the "Godhead trinity."
From my understanding of Revelation it is representative of a power on earth that joins with two others to fight against God. Some say it is a literal, world power, some say spiritual, some say a combination of spiritual and governmental powers.
I'm inclined to lean towards the latter from my studies. The unholy triumvirate, of which the False Prophet is a member, must be a combination of governmental and religious powers in order to have the power that it is described as having.

Jesus said, "You will know them by their works."
Do they promote love, charity, and forgiveness?
