It could happen if we have a catastrophic disaster like an astroid hiting the earth like the one that killed the dinasours or a worldwide nuclear war. Uless that happens we will probably not experience anything like the middle ages.

I can see that. We're in the middle of what's basically a religious war, and we have new diseases we can't cure. Creativity is at a low, the amount of debutantes are at a high, and our fearless leader is an idiot. The only difference is that he has the church in his pocket...not the other way around.
