Yes, a dogs skin is subject to all the same things that our skins are from Skin Cancer, Excema all the way through to Poison Ivy and chemical irritations

Sure they can and so can you! You can get sprays specifically made to kill Poison Ivy. Just keep your dog away from it and get rid of that stuff. Otherwise, you will all be sharing the Calamine lotion.

most dogs don't but I had a friend once that had a black lab witha black nose and teh nose turned pink witht he poison ivy. I know for sure because we took it to the vets and that's what the diagnoses was but we couldn't treat because she would lick anything off her nose it finally did heal but it did leave a little pink scar on her nose.

I will have to say yes. My shih-tzu is allergic to grass. From the green upin spring to the first frost we have to moniter him. By the way, benadryl anti itch creme works wonders for those times.

No but the leaves have oil on them so when they get into it and you pet then ...you have PI....Get something on the stuff to kill it and/or keep your dogs out of it!

No i don't believe they can (at least that's what my vet told me)but they can carry it on their fur and they can then transfer it to us by rubbing up against us or when we pat them.
