Hello,
I have a 1986 Dodge Mini Truck and curious to know how much would it be "approximate" for a new fly wheel?

Thanks

Just for the part, you're looking at anywhere from about $100 to around $300 depending on the engine and transmission it has.

You can probably get one aftermarket, or go to the dealer to get one if they're still available at the dealer.

If you can get a new one, don't mess with buying a used one. Used flywheel might just be useless if it's ever gotten too hot.

I seriously doubt I'd buy a different truck if the one I had was paid for and only required a couple hundred bucks for a repair. At worst, if having someone do the repair for you, it'd be about 2 new car payments for the repair.

If considering buying one that the seller says needs the flywheel replaced, have it checked out first to be sure that that's what it actually needs. I've seen vehicles with internal engine damage where the seller was telling the buyer it needed a flywheel and that's where the clunking noise was coming from.

You actually mean a Mitsubushi truck. With a 2.6 liter or smaller 2.2 liter engine with MCA jet valve technology never worked very well emissions were still hard to pass in smog testing areas. You will nave to find some dealership that has been around a while either Mitsu or Dodge. Then pay thru the nose to get a new flywheel possably over $400 . Did you think it was time for a new truck before you removed the transmission? I really think you need a new truck now.

Can't help you on the price, but if you buy a used one from a junkyard or pick a part place, you can have a machine shop resurface it, That will save you a wad of cash. Or you can have the one you have resurfaced.

Stay away from the dealer, they will over charge you!!!!

I assume yours is ridged, if so get it scimmed at a machine shop or get one from a breaker.
