I will NOT wear anything all day that "traps" my toes.

Are there good sandals out there with good support?

Is there a way I can wrap my arch, heel & ankle up so I don't have to wear shoes all day?

What about the various arch supports at drug stores?

Which ones work the best & which are worthless?

HELP!

It's not too bad yet & I don't want it to get too bad!

Hi there
the real cure for your foot pain is to stretch your foot and calf muscle while you sleep! its called a night splint and it is specifically for heel, arch, and achillies tendon pain.

I can get you one if you cant find it

I have used the Walk Fit orthotics and liked them. They do move my feet into a more normal orientation and relieve my backaches. I have seen pads for the ball of the foot -- which I presume are for relief of plantar fasciiitis, that have a loop which apparently passes around one toe, and an adhesive to hold the pad to the bottom of the foot. I think you could wear them with sandals or open-toed shoes. Birkenstock makes an extensive line of sandals for people with plantar fasciitis.

If you want to cure plantar fasciitis completely in one month check out this site: http://www.treatmyplantarfasciitis.com - I did it, it works! Pain was gone in only a few days. Good luck!

My Mom has that too. I bought her a really cute pair of sandals from Propet. They are a more feminine version of birkenstocks. The bonus is you can remove the insole and replace it with the arch supports your doc recommends.

She gets her arch supports here: http://www.drsfootsource.com/cmnftprob.asp
(Look up heel spur/plantar fascitis)

There are three brands of sandals i would recommend, but they are a bit pricey for sandals
-Bircanstocks
-Tevas
