I need some help i was wondering what the average height and length a minature daschund would be, and if there are any tips you can give me that would be great. i was also woundering if you can fit a minature daschund in a dog purse?

Daschunds are classified in two categories. Standard and Miniature. Miniatures are usually under 11 pounds and have an average height of 6" tall. Standards usually weigh between 16-32 pounds and are average of 8" tall.
It depends on the type of purse/carrier that you buy. You want to make sure there is enough length and height for the dog.
I would make certain you buy from a reputable breeder and don't be afraid to ask if they guarantee health and genetic defects. Many daschunds can easily suffer from spinal injuries. You want a healthy dog who will be free of any major issues.

i have a female miniature and her name is Boo just 2 let u know, and she turned 2 in March and she weighs 10 pounds which is the most any doxen should weigh at 2. and as 4 tips, this is VERY important: never let ur dog jump onto the bed or jump down from the sofa, because doxens tend to get back problems very easily seriously and 4 that matter small dogs in general get back problems very easily so watch out so that doesn't happen. as a matter of fact, a friend of mine who owns a beautiful golden-haired dog who is a mix breed of Shiatsu, Chihuahua, and Doxen got back problems a week ago and when she took her to an emergency vet she found out she had a serious back problem and her dog was completely paralyzed for 4 weeks straight. so take care and watch out. good luck!

Well, I carry my 8 month old Dachshund in a pet carrier when I go out for a little so I dont have to leave her home. Once she is grown she will NOT go in a 'dog purse' anymore.

look up the breed standard on AKC or the national breed club site.
no dog should be carried around in a purse.
