I have ate jelly taht dated to the first Bush adminstration, it was ok, might turn to rubber but then you can use it for a tire patch.

Yes, ALL jellies and jams have an expiration date on the label. If you don't use the stuff up soon enough, or its been left on the counter for too long, it will grow fungus. And no, you don't want to spoon the furry stuff off and continue to eat the rest of it either.

Jelly expires in about 1 year. You can uually tell it's ond when you can no longer see through it as well, and is beginning to turn white a little.

Yes, all food products expire, especially after they are opened.
The biggest indication is if it has nice fuzzy things growing on the top!

If it has already been opened, then approximately 3.5 months after the opened date, as long as it has been refrigerated.

when it ferments it preserves it I think
