A lot of factories only slice the throats on the animals...doesn't that make them die slower?

How come they don't just chop the heads off instead. If kind of creeps me out when they rather have the animals writhe around and die later....

would you like YOUR head chopped off?

Two reasons. #1 The slicing of the throat actually is an INSTANT kill. When the carcass is twitching and what not, it's from the nerve ganglia's dying off in the brain(they take a while to die off) which can still make certain muscles move even. #2 IF you EVER just whack off the head(which, by the way, is VERY hard to do due to the bones and what not), you wind up with the carcass having uncontrollable muscle spasms that can literally cause the whole carcass to writhe about and injure someone. Not to mention the amount of blood that gets everywhere when you do that too.

Hi. Sadly, the body has to keep the heart beating so the blood will be pumped out.

Because, this is how it was done in the Bible days and the blood will not clot. Remember.. Does not make them die slow.

I've never heard of that, my father's brother works on a farm, and he injects them with fluid and it kills them without ruining their meat.
