I am burning home videos to DVD. The home videos were recorded with a VHS recorder. I transferred them to DVD via mpg. If I convert the quality of the video files, will it make the quality of it better?
What if I record it in a different format? Will that also make the quality better?
If anyone knows any freeware program for inhancing video resolution/quality, please tell me. Thanks.

The best quality you'll get is whatever the recorded mpegs are. You can't make it any better than it was originally recorded at.

Working on videos NEVER makes them better. You usually lose at least some quality. ~

I find that the .mp4 formats or the Quicktime MPEG format is really good for high quality video.
