Hi, my dad goes to Korea every year to visit his brothers and relatives.
Since he cam to his home town, you know, he likes to see what he can buy for us.
Anyways he went to a dog shop and a tea cup yorkie ( or maltese) is only $200 to $300!! GOOD DEAL!!
But there could be a problem- when he comes back ( going to the airplane) Since the dog never had a owner and never been in a house or whatsoever- will the puppy/ dog survive in the airplane?

What is the best thing to do?

* He knows what to do on the airplane for dogs*

It's just the puppy..

I would suggest that you go to a shelter and adopt or go to a breeder. There is most likely a reason they are so cheep and I can almost guarantee that those poor puppies are from a puppy mill : (

NEVER get a dog from a petstore. They all come from puppymills, regardless of the store's claims. They may appear healthy, but is often later on in life that they get health and temperament problems.

Also, steer clear of anything "teacup." These dogs are undersized runts who are bred for $$$ and more often than not, unhealthy. It is best to get a dog from a reputable rescue organization or a responsible breeder who is a member of a breed club.

For an example, the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America:

Don't let him buy you a dog from a 'dog shop'. They come from puppy mills (even if they tell you otherwise). Do some research online and see exactly what puppy mills are about and you'll agree. Other than that, a trip on a plane isn't the best for a dog although they'll 'probably' be alright.

If it's a small breed he can put the dog's crate right under his seat. That way he can keep an eye on it and make sure it has food and water. Might be a bit of clean up when the puppy gets home though.

There is no such thing as a "teacup" puppy. They are usually the runts and the runts are bred to runts. Therefore they have a lot of health issues. NO RESPONSIBLE breeder would sell "teacups". Believe you me that dog will have a lot of health issues.

He should forget about the deal.. It's a puppymill puppy.. It's on sale cause no one wants it and they want it out of the store to bring in other cute puppies.

I wouldn't buy from a pet shop because you don't know where the pups came from.Could be from a puppy mill or inbreed.

as they say you get what you pay for.
for that cheap what kind of DEAL are you actually getting.
If he truly considers this he should find out how it is registered and contact teh breede t find out all he can about the breeding.
