It is God Who is powerful, not the prayer you use to address Him. The Lord's Prayer is unique in that it was given to us by God Himself. But praying in your own words is just as effective in communicating with God as pre-composed prayers are.

The specific words of prayers that are already written hold no more power than the words you pray from your heart when you talk to God.

If you believe that certain prayers have the power to make God do what you want, then you are controlling God and your God is too small.

Pray sincerely, telling God what is on your mind. God does not listen more because you repeat prayers over and over again.

But the repetition of prayers does have a purpose. It can provide comfort when nothing else does. It can replace frenzied thinking with focus and peace. It can serve as a sort of mantra. In other words, the repetition is for YOU not for God.

The Divine Mercy Chaplet & The Rosary are the most powerful Catholic prayers. These are my favorites when I really need to pray hard for a specific intention. (Or when I want to mediate on the Life of our Lord)

If it is some thing really important you can also ask the Saints & Angels to pray about it too. (They don't mind)

(Note: Any prayers said from the heart is precious in the ears of God)

The most powerful Catholic prayer is the Mass.
Other good Catholic prayers are The Divine Office (The Liturgy of the Hours) , The Rosary, The Stations of the Cross, The Chaplet of Divine Mercy, the Psalms, and other devotions.

The most powerful prayer is the Holy Rosary when prayed daily. Try to say at least five decades if not all fifteen everyday unfailingly. When Our Lady appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima in 1917 She requested the faithful to pray the Rosary daily. She made this urgent request not once many times as if to stress its importance to our souls in these times. These are the fifteen promises made by Our Lady to those who are devoted to the daily Rosary:

One very powerful saint who will surely hear your prayers and requests is St. Joseph. You can bring your petition to him through novenas. I say the following 30 day novena to St Joseph:

Our Lady says of St.Joseph: "“The children of the world are ignorant regarding the privileges and rights which the Most High has conferred on my holy spouse, and the power of his intercession with the Divine Majesty and with me. But I assure you, my daughter, that in Heaven he is most intimate with the Lord, and has great power to avert the punishment of Divine Justice from sinners. In all trials seek his intercession, because the Heavenly Father will grant whatever my spouse asks.”

The Creator already knows what's in your heart and what's in your mind & thoughts. After giving praise and thanks, I usually just say, "may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven", because I trust that the Creator's love is by far way too complex for me to be asking or praying with specific intentions or requests in mind. The Creator already knows what these are. It's quite amazing if you think about what this means.

Most powerful prayer is the one that comes from the heart not from the page, already written down. To truely pray to Father in Heaven you must pray from the heart & ASK IN FAITH, NOTHING WAVERING.

Try Praying a Novena
There are many different kinds of Novenas for different things
Such as praying to a saint Jesus' sacred heart or God the Father
It is a Prayer that you say once a day for nine days
Make sure its for the right intentions
Oh yeah really try and raise your heart up to God

Although I am not a catholic but I would like to stress out that any prayers will do as long as it is sincere and from your heart-I believe God will answer you. However, put this in mind, that Jesus said "when you pray, DO NOT PRAY IN VAIN REPITITION" for God already know what's in your heart before you pray."

You can be ANY faith and still pray to your Heavenly Father in your OWN words...it doesn't have a classification as to what faith the prayer belongs to...
