Before you go flling up on fiber, you need to get things moving. Prunes (aka 'Dried Plums") ought to do the trick. Or drink prune juice (high in iron!) to slick things up. They now make them indiv. wrapped so the bag stays fresh. Make a habit of eating one a day and you won't get constipated.
Drink PLENTY of wter w/ your fiber! Or the fiber can back you up!
All-Bran Cereals
Wheat Chex
Corn on the Cob, Whole Kernel Corn, Popcorn
Dried beans/peas (red, white, navy, black)
green peas, lentils of any color
add wheat bran to all homemade baked foods (pancakes, muffins, meatloaf....)

Drink Prune Juice- that will make you go asap. Just hold your nose when you drink it. Or tey weight control oatmeal- it has 9 grams of fiber and works for me! Bran flakes, bran muffins or try a low dose laxative like seroket or ducacet
Popcorn is not good for pooping. apples and apple sauce are good too

All Bran Cereal
Buy the Fiber One bars that they sell in the granola bar section. They are delicious and they have a lot of fiber unlike granola bars which have 1g or less in most cases.

Raisin Bran cereal has alot of fiber and it has the raisins that help you when you are backed up. don't eat bananas because they will make it worse. Banana's are actually an anti-diarrheal so they will back you up.

Eat some prunes. But don't over eat them, your may feel even more bloated. Either way, by eating them you will fix your backed up problem. Good luck =)

Popcorn helps you poop b/c it's good bulk. Also bran cereal like Raisin Bran. Applesauce and bananas and prunes---pretty much any fruit will help you go. And stay away from the cheese. Oh--juice is good to help you poop too.
