here in Tx, I pay $ 34 for a 40 lb bag of Canidae, all life stages, dry dog food, + sales tax.....here is why i believe it to be a SUPERIOR dry dog food......NO BY-PRODUCTS, none, ALL HUMAN GRADE INGREDIENTS, ALL NATURAL INGREDIENTS, no fillers like corn or wheat, no beet pulp or SALT, ALL ingredients from the USA only, made in their OWN plant, 4 or more meats as meal, which is better than fresh, because it is dried, without moisture, more meat for your money !!.....and it has vitamins and enzymes that are good for dogs, and yogurt kinds of bacteria, for aiding food digestion, also !!...it is recommended by MANY BREEDERS, and many yahoo answer people, say that they have used it for YEARS, with success and satisfaction !!!...it rated 5 stars, out of 6 possible stars, on one dry dog food survey, and rated 112 points, of a possible 100 points, or an A+, on another dry dog food survey, and it is affordable, and my JRTerrier eats HALF as much, as his previous dry dog food, which was Purina One, Lamb & Rice, which was NOT much cheaper in cost...and my dog leaves me HALF as much residue, on the grass, as before !!...it has a money back guarantee, if you are unhappy, for ANY reason !!...check Canidae.com for more information, and a list of dealers near you, by Zip code ....I switched my 2 dogs, and my daughter in law switched her 3 dogs, after i did MAJOR RESEARCH after all the recalls started, to Canidae, and we and all 5 dogs are happy and satisfied !!...try it, you & your dog will LIKE it !!... good luck to y'all !!!...IF I CAN ANSWER ANY OTHER QUESTIONS YOU HAVE, PLEASE EMAIL ME !!!

I feed Canidae All Life Stages..the ingredients are excellent..it has meat as the first 2 ingredients and meat protein is in the top 7 ingredients(chicken turkey, lamb & fish)...within the top 7 ingredients there are only two grains and they are rice one of which is brown rice.
Canidae has no corn, wheat or soy and no by products. All ingredients are produced here in the US and the food is manufactured here in the US as well.
I pay @ $37 for a 40# bag..it is calorie dense so you don't need to feed a lot. My Danes eat 4 cups of the dry per day..2 in the am , 2 in the pm and my pup also gets 1/2 can Canidae in the am and 1/2 a can in the pm. They are far from being skinny..they maintain a very nice proper weight.

I bought it off the internet Petfooddirect.com it was 35.00 for a 40 lb bag it's 30.00 , 10.00 for shipping, I found a 20% coupon, search for coupons when you're on the internet, u can easily get things for very good prices online. Good job switching to Canidae.
Wow just noticed i'm the only non- top contributor on this board

Ok well fyi whatever you used to feed had rice gluten.. A filler and i'm guessing if it's using rice gluten, that probably means there using by product... Which isn't good at all, they say it's real meat.. Duh it is meat but not the human grade food. They process it and doesn't contain as much nutrients as other foods. Canidae uses REAL meat , not by product, no fillers, and your dog will poop less. which is always better. There are good foods out there like Canidae. Such as Innova, Timberwolf as someone suggested, Nature's Variety, Wellness, but Canidae is much cheaper than the other brands. I notice there ingredients are basically the same but Canidae is at a lower price, thats why many people choose Canidae. Some people also feed raw but I don't feed becaise it is out of my budget. You might wanna suggest it because I've heard that raw feeders have healthier dogs with shiner coats. I feed Canidae All life stages

We are in Canada and pay $42.60 for a bag of Canidae All Life Stages..
It has no fillers, no artificial preservatives, no corn no wheat.. The ingredients are all local, they are not imported from countries with little to no laws on food ingredients..
It is a good quality dog food, health ingredients, dogs do very well on it, shiny coats, white teeth, bright eyes, nice poop, dogs love the taste.. You don't need to buy puppy / adult / senior foods, it's all in one bag.. The dogs eat less, cause they get their nutrition out of the food easier.. All around great food.

I pay about $40 for a 40 lb bag. Why is it good? It contains Omega fatty acids, plus it is holistic. Always best to stay with the holistic foods (Eagle Pack is another great food, solid gold also) but you will need to add flaxseed oil to the solid gold as it tends to dry the fur/hair.

38.99 for the lamb and rice. Also, they have a program that after 10 bags (I think) if you save the UPC codes you get a free bag. I use it because one of my dogs has food allergies and pancreatitis and this is one of the few foods that agree with him.

The prices vary by store and location. One of the places I can buy it at charges $38.99 (Pet Supply Plus is the cheapest)and another charges $44.99. Shop around and look for the best price.

I understand your questions... Personally, I would use Evo before I use Canidae... Canidae has rice, and many dogs don't do well on rice. It is technically a grain. I'd rather feed my dogs a grain free food, if I feed them kibble. I don't feed kibble, but I understand why some do.
I feed a raw diet, but if for some reason, I HAD to feed kibble... It would be Evo, since it is grain free and has all human grade ingredients.

If you are curious about a raw diet... I use the prey model raw diet, and it is so easy...

Personally, I like Timberwolf better. It is about $55 for a 33 pound bag. It uses all local ingredients and it is one of the highest rated brands with 6 stars on this website.
