You can upload them to a service, such as Yahoo, AOL, or Walmart...there's a bunch of options and prices.
They mostly work the same. You sign up, upload, and give the password to those you'd like to share them with.
But if email is your choice, I would suggest compression software, such as winzip.

Either mail the physical CDs, or upload the photos to a sharing system like flickr.com or shutterfly.com (then e-mail the link).

you should compress each picture to web size, then zip and send as attachment or copy the cd and mail it

It would be easier to just burn them onto a few CDs and then mail them.

its probably too large to send via email, but if you both download yahoo instant messenger you can send them that wat. good luck
