Matthew sixteen:sixteen-18. Jesus says that the rock the church is built on is the confession that "Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the residing God." you will no longer have the skill to be a Christian without believing that. That parallels John 3:sixteen. The be huge wakeful "church" in Roman circumstances meant citizenry. So translating the observe into reducing-side words ability which you will no longer have the skill to be a citizen of the dominion of Heaven without believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the residing God. some thing of it, Jesus is God, isn't required, yet maximum in all probability if somebody reads John a million and John 8:fifty 8, they'll understand that too. understanding does not come without word. And Jesus does not assume that. additionally be huge wakeful that Jesus does not require which you "have self belief that the Bible is God's be huge wakeful" the two. John 3:sixteen does not say, "For whosoever believes that the Bible is God's be huge wakeful won't perish yet have eternal life." Worship Jesus. do no longer worship the Bible. God's be huge wakeful is a residing being, no longer printer's ink on an internet site.

No.
I call people imbeciles because they believe things that are impossible, inconsistant with obvious facts, do not stand up to the smallest modicum of scrutiny, or are inconsistent with their actions or their other beliefs.
If some Christian believes in God but has reasonable beliefs supporting that, then fine. I may disagree with their interpretation of the facts but I could be friends with them and talk about it openly.

Umm...I think anyone with half a brain would say no.
We disagree, we are human, and that is part of what makes us human. Cognitive thinking skills. Having a healthy disagreement is very normal and encouraged in my house.
Prove your points with logic and reason...hear the other person out, then compromise.

Not just for that reason - only if their reason for disagreement indicates both a breathtaking ignorance and a refusal to learn.

No, that would be like calling yourself one. We can agree to disagree. We all will be judged for our OWN choices.
