For cast iron, www.lodge.com makes about anything and it's good quality.

No, you can't. And they wouldn't be pancakes because the recipe for the two are slightly different. The waffle iron makes the waffle throughout rather thin, so it cooks differently than if you just poured the mixture into a pan. THEY AREN'T PANCAKES, PEOPLE. There is a difference between pancake batter and waffle batter. I'm a former cook and baker, so I know. The batter will still cook up in a pan, but they won't be pancakes.

I went to a metal worker with a design for a tortilla pan and got them to manufacture one out of iron. It wasn't overly cheap but it was 1 of a kind and works really well. You could try second hand stores the old ones tend to have all sorts of goodies tucked away and it's fun to look.

try walmart if they dont have them you'll have to find a kitchen cook ware supply store we have one at are local mall but they are by far not cheap

don't know if you have one near your home or not, but i found mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond. and i only paid around 20 bucks for it.
