Where is the best place to convert US Dollars to the Canadian dollar?

I am traveling from the US to Canada. Where is the best place for me to convert my US Dollars into Canadian Dollars?

The easiest, most convenient and best exchange rate is to use your ATM card at a Canadian Bank ATM. You can use any ATM, but the fee is usually a little less at a Bank. If you start exchanging physical US bills for Canadian bills the process is more cumbersome, labour intensive, capital intensive (stocking foreign exchange) and cost you in fees and exchange rates. Best to stick with modern technology and electronic means.

I have used this method throughout Canada, US, Mexico and even a trip to Europe.

You can access Canadian Cash from an ATM machine. Contact your bank to see if there are any fees involved. Credit Unions usually do not charge more then a 1% murkup rate which is low compared to most credit cards and debit cards. Most charge between 3%-6% markup. Depending where you are going in Canada they may take US currency.

There is a money exchange on Clifton Hill in Niagara falls, or any bank will be just fine
Or you can just use your atm card at any bank and withdraw money in local funds
