the majority of her ashes were spread out at sea, then there were three urns designated for my mom and aunt and my stepdad and i were given these silver teardrop pendants containing her ashes. we both wear them on a regular basis. i have recently discussed with some close friends of mine how they feel about this. some say its cool, great even, but others say somethings just not right about it. id really like some outside opinions.........

What happened to just having a photo in a pendant. Blood is a bit creepy.

The pendant of ashes is certainly unusual, but I see no indication that there's something immoral or dangerous going on, so I wouldn't put much stock in their thoughts.

After all, if she was a in graveyard, and burials weren't common, they might find it disturbing that you're walking along a field of full of decaying flesh.

NOTHINGS wrong with it...You want to keep
your Grandma next to your heart...How could that be wrong?!!!
Do you know they can even take those ashes and turn them into a "real" diamond...
You do what YOU want and don't listen to
the other's that "just don't understand"
your feelings...God Bless you Sweetie...

I think it is sweet. That is my plan after I am cremated. My daughter says she will wear my ashes in a locket.

you must have been close to your grandma, that's great, I think something like that would be ok, it may be strange to others but it is what you think and want that matters, if you feel comfortable then I would wear it..Peace

it is nice. you're keeping your grandmother right by your heart, but remember, you don't need any possesion to remember the good times with your loved one, the memories are wonderful and one day you will see her again in peace.

If it's right for YOU, it's right. Don't pay attention to the opinion of others....

I dont see anything wrong with it. If it makes you feel close to her, why not?
