my 2 friends (a couple) are off traveling soon for europe and aussy for a year camping what would be a sutible gift thats not going to take up room?

here are some gifts i got when i did the same.

1,books of where they are going (lonley planets guide are good).
2, A travel size can/bottle opener, they may think you are daft at first but trust me, will thank you for it later.
3, A, hand made diary for my notes.
4, A myspace web page to keep in touch.

You can give them an inflatable travel pillow - it won't take up space and it will make them comfortable while on the plane or on a train.

You can buy them a little bag of crystals. They all have different meaning but you can have some for protection, love, grounding, energy etc. They can add to the bag as they visit different places.

You can buy travel journals which have pages to record your journeys and adventures and pockets to keep tickets and photos - i think they are really nice momentoes.
