If Eve is responsible?

Question

for original sin by eating an apple, are dentists/doctors devils for telling us to eat them all the time??
As an Atheist I would love to know !

:)))) I love your question.......You are as "evil" as I am......:))) It was not an apple as far as I know.............oh, and keep eating them....In my opinion, science has the most logical explanations for the existence of humanity and the whole Universe.......And regarding the Bible, there are lots of contradictions in it and there are many things which are not included in it....and here I would like to mention the council of Niceea, in 325, when emperor Konstantinos decided which Gospels should be included in the Bible and which not!!! This is a historical fact!

Your question makes me laugh.

First of all, if you want to put responsibility where it belongs, Eve is only partly responsible, as the commands to not eat of the tree of knowledge and good and evil was given directly to Adam, and Adam subsequently communicated this to Eve.

In many ways, it was Adams responsibility to convince Eve of the importance of obedience, but apparently failed. Eve, did not obey her husband, so she too was punished by God.

The fruit itself is not evil, and never has been. So it is rediculous to even suggest that doctors or dentists are devils just because the recommend to eat apples or other fruit.

Actually if you read Genesis, the Bible does NOT mention an apple. It mentions a fruit.

This incident was the "Original Sin", disobedience to God and His Word. The disobedience was the result of the serpent tempting Eve. Remember, the serpent, (many call him satan), tricked Eve, and lied to her. The devil is the father of all lies. Though Eve's eyes were opened and she then knew her nakedness, she also sinned, and the fall of man began.

The worse part, perfect communion with God was also gone. (for a time). This is why Jesus came into the world and died for our sins. So we could once again have perfect communion with the Lord, and be worthy, (not of our own doing), of living with God forever in heaven.

So we that do believe, accept him into our lives as our Lord and Savior. As a result, we have our names written in the Lambs book of life and when we die our spirits will go to heaven and live there for all eternity, worshipping and praising God.

Those who chose otherwise will not be so fortunate, as the bible says they will be cast into the pit of the earth, (hell) described as the lake of fire, and where the thirst is not quenched and the worm dieth not.

You say you are an athiest. What makes you think there is no God? Look around you and see all of the wonders of the world. These things just didnt happen, they were created. I for one did not climb out of a miry pit or become the result of evolution or the big bang. I was created by God, just as you were.

Think about it and pray.

The timing on this is interesting because I've been delving a lot recently into Creation, and women and the Church. No, the Bible never said it was an apple, don't have a clue how that got started. And Eve really got the raw deal here - when confronted by God, she admitted that she allowed herself to be deceived, and ate. But Adam, standup guy that he was, basically blamed God and Eve. And women have gotten the blame for everything going to crap ever since.

And no, dentists aren't devils for telling us to eat apples all the time, they're devils because they love to torture us with drills and such, and carry on conversations with us while we're lying in the chair with our mouths forced open. I tell you they're sadistic!

PS. Why people answer a clever joke with serious answers is beyond me. It's like comparing apples to oranges. :-) And after one person tells you it wasn't an apple, why do 15 people have to repeat the same thing?! Why do they all sound so indignant?! One bad apple spoils the bunch. :-)

The sin wasn't eating the "apple" (there is much disagreement over the exact fruit was) per se, it was disobeying God's command. God could have just as well have told them not to push the big red button in the middle of the garden, or not to call Him "Shirley" (Shirley you must be joking if you think He did), or don't dance the watusi at midnight under a full moon during the ides of March, and sure enough, satan would have been there asking, "Did God really say not to...?"

Both were held responsbile for their actions. Eve would have been thrusted out of the Garden of Eden. Adam partook of the fruit so that she would not be left alone. They did NOT have a knowledge of good and evil, their eyes had not yet been opened...they were naked and they were not ashamed because they didn't even KNOW that being naked was bad or wrong...they could not discern that yet. They were still innocent from that mentality.

The Fall as it is called-HAD to happen for all of us to be here. It was necessary for Adam and Eve to fall as they could NOT multiply and replenish the earth within the Garden of Eden.

If Adam and Ever had not learned that all things must have their opposite :good and evil, pleasure and pain,

then we would not be here today answering all these questions!

Genesis 3:6 " And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the FRUIT thereof, and did eat..."

The bible never says that it was an apple.

Also Eve is not responsbile for original sin Adam is. He chose to partake of the fruit also and through His seed is sin passed.

Romans 5:12 " Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that ALL have sinned:"

So now we have a problem where we are ALL declared guilty before God. But God loves us and he gave us a way out.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

It was not an apple. Eve was not accounted as the first sinner because she did it out of ignorance, Adam knowingly ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thus he was accounted as the first sinner.

in Islam we dont believe original sin( God will not punish me for wrong I dont do it ) and we believe that Adam and Eve both eat the apple so Eve is not only responsible but Adam too
