I would not want to start a one car team at this day and age. If I were to bring on a team, I would want two or three drivers on my team. Maybe even four. I would want a veteran or two, that know how to win, to teach my young team members. With that being said, I would go after Bobby LaBonte and Jeff Burton. These guys are class acts that know how to be patient and stay consistent. I would also like to have some young guys to be the future of my team. I would take Denny Hamlin. Denny has proven that he can drive at the Cup level. If my veteran team members could change his attitude and teach him some more patience, he is a champion in the making. Another guy I would try my luck on is Marcos Ambrose. This guy is having a solid rookie season in the Busch series. I would take a chance moving him up to the big time. To me I think he is the most promising, Busch only driver, running this season.
Amirola would get very strong consideration as well.

Since it seems like Mark Martin doesn't wanna retire full time, I'd want him even if it's part time. He could teach the other guys a lot of things and show them how not to whine all the time. Then I'd take Jr, Gordon (even though I don't like him he's a hell of a driver) and Denny, he's young and I think he'll go a long way when he gets some more experience under his belt.

I agree wholeheartedly with Richard C... Jeff Gordon is my pick. When he first showed up in NASCAR... I said, "if he keeps up this way, he'll dethrone King Richard!" Well... as much as I love the King, if Jeff takes over the "reigns" (sic) I would not be too sad about it.
JEFF G... all the way!

Jr does have his very own racing employer JR Motorsports, yet I do think of that he would desire to go away DEI and enable Theresa proceed to push the employer that Dale Sr placed his blood, sweat and tears into extra into the floor. Theresa will understand that she had the ultimate ingredient whilst DEI is going down the drain and Jr is off at yet another group triumphing races, championships, development a greater fanbase, and so on. And whilst he does go away...i'm hoping that each and every-unmarried-considered one of his sponsors is going with him. Theresa will understand whilst it is too previous due!
