You can go to places such as Mt Buffulo and falls creek. Many people go on the great alpine road that comes off the hume highway in Wangaratta but it is about an hour or so out of the way.

The snow is southeast of Albury and you will need to drive a bit over an hour to get there. You should take the Kiewa Valley Highway to Kiewa and Mt Beauty from Wodonga and you should see snow around Mt Beauty, about 120km from Wodonga otherwise continue down the road to Falls Creek.
