advance the timing to 13 and run premium gas.

or if you really want some power, swap it for the turbo 4 out of a SVO 84-86 or T-Bird TC 84-88. they are in the junk yards cheap and will pull 250 hp pretty cheap

Your complaining about power yet you bought a sports car with a 4 cylinder engine. The only way to get the power of a mustang from your car is to do an engine/transmission swap. Trying to get more power out of a 4 cylinder engine is a waste of time and money, and in the long run will destroy that engine by overworking it.

The rear axle gear ratio can slow the vehicle also. Your biggest problem with speed is the 4 cylinder motor.

its just a four cylinder. Do a tune up air filter change and fuel filter change. You can buy a header too if you want more power
