i dont want some people to be bothering me calling my house, how would i go about blocking their numbers from them not being able to call my home number? please help!

1.)Call your phone co. and give them the numbers that you want to block (Telemarketers are always changing their phone numbers-so this doesn't work too well.)
2.)Get caller ID, and turn the ringer on your phone off--then if there is a family emer. you can see the caller on your caller ID, and include step 3.
3.)Turn off the ringer on your phone, set up an answering machine that answers after 2 or 3 rings, and say on the answering machine " this number is does not take in bound calls!" for use with step 2.
or: "this number is out of service!" to be used alone on answering machine.
4.) Get call fowarding to your cell phone, turn off your cell phone.
5.) I have call messaging with my phone Co., so I just turn off the ringer on the phone and call for my messages when I want them!

See if your land line phone company offers a call screening or call blocking service. That feature lets you block specific numbers, as well as have an option for unknown/out of area numbers go to a message first to help screen out telemarketers.

You do not know what to do? Ok shot one: when they call answer the phone put the phone down and do not say anything do that everytime for 3 times (if they call that many times) then next time scream when you answer if they call again put the phone by a intrument (piano would work the best) and play load music in their ear maybe leave out the screaming answer they may call 911 because they think you broke your bone or something.

Either call the phone company or look in the front pages of your phone book, there may be sthing in there that tells you how to block calls.

Call your phone company. Tell them you want to block certain numbers. They'll do it right then and there from their facility.

Get a Private ph number and only give to who you what to have it or get an answering machine and only pick up the ones you want.
