I am 40 something now but when I was a kid others were very mean to me. Even though I have gotton past that the memories still hurt and I often wonder if those people who hurt me emotionally ever felt bad for what they did. Are you a bully or where you bullied? I never thought of doing horrible things like some kids do to others nowadays, I got my revenge by getting my self esteem back and just knowing my life is worth it.
Others called me stupid and when I was young I thought maybe they were right. But I know now I am not. So bullies if you think you can't hurt someone with words think again.

to hell with all the people that made my life hell in school when i was younger, look at them now, most of them are complete losers that have a low self image, and worse. it took me a long time to see me for myself, and hell, girls that used to treat me like crap back then see me, (not remembering me ) and try to date me, well i laugh and tell them who i am, and that I know who they are and if they were nice to me then they could have got with me now. Bullies and jerk-offs like that need a good *** kicking, because they feel bad they want to drag everyone else with them!

I ran into my childhood bully one day after college. Everything about her had changed. Like me she too was a writer; a thoughtful and intelligent women who it would be difficult to imagine ever being a bully.

It's a funny thing, the bullies and the bullied - we're all victims of the same system. We're all the children of a culture that penalizes people for individuality and punishes people for not conforming in every way.

It's eat or be eaten on the schoolyard, and it takes a kid with more maturity than I ever had to understand that you can transcend all that pettiness. I was bullied because I wasn't good at acting normal. The bullies bullied me so that they could act like they WERE normal.

I think all of us grow up, then look back on something awful we did and cringe, wishing we could take it all back. I think that the truly awesome people are the bullies AND the bullied who rise up above that superficiality and raise kids to do the same.

YES! I too was a bully, who also got bullied. I am 30 and I regret everything I done when I was a kid. I now have kids and I see so many mistakes that I made when I was a kid. I turned my regrets into life experiences that I know teach to my kids about. I do believe in Karma. But I forgive myself and those who hurt me too.

Yes. I was a bully and I have been bullied. I am 34. I still regret the hurt I caused others and I still feel the hurt that others have caused me.
Perhaps it's karma, but I have used my life experiences to teach my kids the evils of bullies and bullying.

Yes, once my friend called a girl a name in elementary school. I didn't say it, but I laughed along with her. I still regret it. And we called the crossing guard lady a name. It wasn't to her face, but I still regret the disrespect of her.
