It is man made doctrine that says you will go to hell for suicide and this is not true. Now if someone kills someone else then they might still go to heaven if they believe in yeshua as their lord and savior.

Dear Remiyu, Greetings from Apollos; some people believe that suicide is an (or the) unforgivable sin and therefore on that basis they believe that anyone who commits suicide automatically goes to hell. There is no passage in the Bible that states that suicide is the unforvigable or the unpardonable sin; Jesus stated in the three synoptic gospels ; Matthew, Mark, and Luke that blashemy against the Holy Spirit is the unforvigable or the unpardonable sin; Now having stated that; does not mean that suicide is in any way an unpardonable sin; or the God condones suicide; but what the Bible does teach is that God will judge all those who die in unrepentant sin; so many people feel that since you can't repent of suicide; you will automatically perish.; many Christians and Catholics are divided on this issue; Now in the case of a murderer; God could forgive a repentent murderer provided that his or her heart was responsive to tthe conviction of the Holy Spirit and that they responded and repented of their sins and surrender their lives to Christ and live in accordance to the standards of living given in Scripture and remain faithful to Jesus Christ on a consistent basis.

Well, here is the difference, I think....but I am no expert either:
If someone truly had a relationship with Christ, why would they kill themself? So, if someone kills themself, he or she is most likely not a Christian, and therefore, would not go to heaven.
When someone murders, they are most likely not a Christian either, BUT, they didn't die and have the priveledge to think about what they have done.
Maybe God gives a suicide a chance to repent after death, who knows? In that case, that person could be granted heaven.

When someone commits suicide, they can not ask for forgiveness. That is why most believe that suicide is a ticket south.
If someone murders and does not repent, they too will go south.
Only those that ask for forgiveness, repent and turn away from their sins, believe in Jesus Christ and ask Him into their heart...will be going to Heaven.
God is merciful and loving. He is also righteous and just. Leave the judging to Him and it will all work out.
BTW, anyone that kills themselves, is not only a coward but the epitome of selfish.

I spoke with my pastor about this before and he said he has looked everywhere in the Bible and can't find anything that says you will automatically go straight to hell for it. I've always said no one knows what happens in the last minutes of life. There are probably many people that redeem themselves before they die. The only way to not get to Heaven is by rejecting Jesus as your Saviour. Suicide is a sin, since you are taking your life into your own hands instead of going to God with your troubles. It shows that you are not trusting in Him. Anyway I am a Christian and I don't believe it. I feel bad for the people that do, since they are probably making it harder on themselves feeling that their loved ones had no chance.

A person that kills themselves doesn't necessarily get condemned. God knows our hearts. The person that kills themself may have a chance to have a change in heart just as the one who kills someone else. It's hard for a murderer to get forgiveness from the one he murdered. So I think the murderer has it much worse on the day of judgment.

If they murdered someone and then immediately died themselves, they'd probably go to hell.
The difference is that when you murder someone, you are still alive and therefore capable of repentance. When you commit suicide...you are beyond the ability to repent.

Well, it never says in the Bible that someone goes to Hell for taking their own life, Some people really like to speak for God. The Bible says that people go to Hell because they reject Christ and His offer of forgiveness, Only God knows if someone has truly accepted Christ.

That last sentence is generally cited as a reason for that belief.
If you kill yourself, you can't repent of it.
That said, I don't believe suicide is unpardonable. Rejecting Jesus is unpardonable, according to New Testament teachings, and that's about the only unpardonable one.

It's because you can have time to repent for your sin. However, if someone, for example, takes a bottle of pills to kill themselves but as they are slowly dying, they repent, then there is a chance at redemption.
