A recommendation that is always made is to paint a guest room at color that will make guests feel at home. A cozy and soothing color. Green is one of the often recommended colors and being as you already have green in the room, it's a great idea. You are correct that the room being so small it will feel smaller if dark red because it is a warm color and warm colors advance. Cool colors tend to recede and make a small room feel larger. Green is a cool color.
If you paint the room green be sure to use that maroon as an accent color throughout. Maroon is, of course, a shade of red - and red and green are complementary colors.

Well something light thats for sure. It wil make your room feel clean and inviting!
Maybe some neutrals. Such as a light brown. It will compliment the olive bed spread. It will make the room look larger too!
Also a very light green would look nice. It would really open up the room. You'de be surprised.
A red would look nice too. Don't go too dark though! I would go with a firecracker red as the darkest. That looks nice too! It will make the room look very modern. It may not give it a larger look but it will look nice.
I would keep all the baseboards white. With all the colors. That will give it a nice clean look!
Hope this helps!

I would suggest a dark but bold yellow. My couch is also a dark olive-colered green, and my pillows are maroon and that yellow. It might not be a neon green, but that's the brightest color I can think of that will work

How a pair of espresso coloration! this is not beige or cream and this is not brown/chocolate, yet in between and is an extremely heat coloration. And the better area is it is going with honestly any coloration scheme...exceedingly dark colorings like army! i'm going to declare that the French Colonial sort does tend to apply dark colorings...however the rooms are often very super with loads of sunshine. in the journey that your room is small, it relatively is relatively helpful to pass with a heat impartial coloration like the espresso and then accessory it with a strip as a chair rail in a dismal coloration like the dark pink.

I would paint a guest bedroom a cheery, happy color to invite their welcome. A nice peach on three walls and a darker one on the accent wall. Nice peach sheets and a white comforter with plenty of pillows. White sheers over vertical blinds. Some soft, pleasing to the eyes" pictures, a few magazines and white nightstand lamps. Don't forget soft white and peach towels, soap and a few luxuries on the dresser. Hope you like me opinion.

I would think about doing a light gray, very popular for this year with reds. Also, keeping in mind that it is a guest bedroom, something relaxing and soothing would be best, since your guests want to be able to fall asleep.

Sherwin Williams has a paint color called "Muslin", I would guse that color on three walls and possibly an "Olive Green" color on one wall For trim, just use a shade deeper of each color.
