Swimming is a very good exercise. Speed walking or brisk walking can do the job too.

Follow the diet your doctor has given you as closely as possible. If you must go over, then balance by eating less the next day.

The walking is a good start but you don't say how far you go. If you are seriously overweight, you should be covering 2 miles each hour walking your dog. Bring it up to 4 miles as soon as possible. Best way, is to start with the 4 mile route and work on getting the time down.

If you have the opportunity, then climb the stairs whenever possible. Start with 1 floor and work up to 5 floors going up and maybe 10 going down. Sit up or abdominal crunches as well as push ups require no equipment and can be done in the privacy of your home. As suggested, adding swimming is a good exercise. Gardening burns up calories and if you have the opportunity to push a manual lawn mower around that is also exercise. We haven't discussed age but if you are a teen or even college age, consider a summer of cutting lawns in your neighbourhood. Extra money plus lost weight. If the money and time are there then consider joining a gym and booking sessions with a personal trainer.

good luck.

Anytime you are increasing your heart rate you are losing those unwanted calories and fat. Since you are already walking your dog just step up the pace little by little. Do whatever you can to move around more like yard work or playing catch with a friend. Give yourself a set time to sit down and do stuff then get up and keep the movement going. Park your car in the last stall at a department store or grocery store so that you may walk more.I know how frustrating it can be I am on my way to losing the weight too!!! It is a life changing plan never a diet. Choose healthy and treat yourself once in a while you deserve it. Best wishes to you and I know you will do it!

As you have been doing, continue to walk, but step up the pace so that your heart beats at 125-135 beats per minute. You need to keep it low impact for now since you are overweight, you don't want to injure your joints. Remember as a rule, at this rate for the first 30 continuous minutes you are mostly burning sugar. After that, with continuous exercise you start burning fat. You can also try swimming. It tones the muscles as well. Also watch the 1200 calories. Try to cut out the sugar and keep the carbs really low. Eat mostly green veggies, and lean meats, if you eat meat. Avoid juices, and watch for commercial salad dressings. Olive Oil and vinegar is your best bet. If you have to have something sweet, have an apple or an orange.

If you are very overweight, then walking your dog for 1-2 hours per day is a wonderful start! Once you start to lose weight you will find that it will be easier to pump it up a notch. Join Curves. They are a women's only exercise facility that focuses on circuit training. The machines are resistance machines so you can go at your own pace. I used to be almost 300 pounds and I joined Curves and lost 15 pounds the first month. I continued to go about 5 times a week and have a lost a total of 125 pounds. Good luck!

Try fast walking, on a treadmill. I walk my dogs (I'm also very overweight) but find that I don't get the fast walk you need to burn calories. you need to be slightly breathless if you are working hard enough. Don't make the mistake of trying to do too much too soon. If you do you will be in pain, risk injury and not keep up the regime.
Swimming is good, it takes the strain off of joints and is also great for increasing strength and suppleness.
As you lose weight you can change the type of exercise you do to increase the load and get more strength. Good luck, its hard work but worth it (I have lost 80lb so far.....)

I Jog, once, sometimes twice a day. Do a lot of cardio. When your not exercising keep yourself physically active whether it means physical yet fun activities or even cleaning the house. Try walking instead of driving to areas near you or park far away so you can walk more. The hardest thing about exercising is keeping motivated. Being healthy and looking better is a pretty good motivation, keep that in mind, it may take time but it's totally worth it.

Congratulations on working to make your body healthy!

I know so many who keep feeding thier faces and do nothing about it, and they don't care.

Start slow, the walking is a great choice!

Swimming is another good one for the summer, if you're a little self-conscious, just throw on a t-shirt & shorts over your swimsuit.

Join a gym, like Curves, they offer great workout programs as well as moral support.

No time for a gym? look in the classifieds for some used exercise equipment, like treadmills, exercise bikes, etc.

Always check with your doctor to see if stepping up your exercise is a good choice for you. If you have heart problems or such, you don't want to knock loose a blood clot and have a stroke or heart attack.

Best wishes!

look on the rather food value of the belongings you binged on. the only issues with any nourishment are oatmeal and peanut butter, the two enormously intense in energy and intensely bread. and you had peanut butter two times - that's not balanced. you're bingeing through fact your physique is making an attempt to tell you it desires some thing greater, yet you're in basic terms giving it stuff with little or no food value - try prepare your self to observe what it needs. With prepare you would be waiting to tell whether you opt for carbohydrate, protein or fruit & veg. try having a appropriate balanced breakfast with some protein, some carbohydrate and a few fruit which will desire to shrink your choose for junk. in case you get hungry until eventually now the subsequent meal have an apple or a chew of cheese or some dates or raisins. stop procuring the binge grub, so it is not fairly there to tempt you.

Walking the dog is a good start. Too much impact will damage your knees so running is out. If you belong to a gym, the elliptical machine id good. This one will sound stupid, but I've heard that sex is a good way to burn calories too. The main idea is to remain consistent with your workout and as you lose weight you can get more strenuous. Don't lose the weight too fast or your waist will hang to your knees.
