They do become high maintnace if you spoil them. I gave my cat expensive wet foods (and rarely gave her dry food) and later when i could only buy dry foods, she wouldnt eat it.

If what you mean by "spoil" is lots of cuddling, then no. Kittens are always in need of alot of attention, they usually outgrow it. Some cats demand more attention than others, but you can't force a cat to except a cuddling, they have to want it to begin with.
If what you mean by "spoil" is allowing the kitten to do anything it wants, for example, bite the hand or attack feet while playing, scratch furniture or whatever, then yes. Kittens need to be taught early on what is acceptable and what isn't.

NO way no how.
Cats are the easiest pet you can ever have and no matter how much you spoil it as a baby. A cat grows up always to be very independant and proud. Cats don't need much of anything and if you feed them good food, fresh all the time and always make sure they have fresh water and a clean little box, you have no worries... Have fun, love them to death and nevermind when they grow up. They do it fast and you'll be happy you spoiled the hell out of it as a baby.

Animals are like humans in this respect, and kittens are like children. They will learn to expect the treatment they are brought up with, be it good or bad. It depends what you mean by 'spoil' but if you're constantly giving your cat treats all the time, of course they will pester you if you don't continue to hand over. Same goes for giving lots of attention, this might lead to a very clingy cat, but not necessarily - sometimes giving lots of attention will cause a kitten to be a loner!
I tend to think that kittens that have been hand-reared seem to be more bratty. Cats that have been spoiled with treats tend to be fat, and fat cats are often arsey - cats don't like being fat.

I dont know the exact answer but I do know that I spoiled my cat when she was little and now she is really high maintance. She needs to be fed at a certian time, she has to have really good cat litter cleaned after like 3 poops and special food. Then she always puts her head up when other people come over, like she thinks she is better. I dont know. I still lover her anyway.

the superb element i'm able to assert is come across a King James version Bible and start up at Genesis a million. i'm suggesting a KJV through fact I do purely not believe the translated variations, through fact they seem to alter the meanings of a few issues. additionally, do not pass the e book of Acts. right here you will discover the main mandatory scripture contained in the finished Bible: Acts 2:38, the plan of salvation. i recognize maximum "Christians" will inform you that each physique you could desire to do to be saved is purely have faith, yet many scriptures contained in the hot testomony let us know you will desire to be born lower back of the water (babtism contained in the call of Jesus), and of the spirit (being full of The Holy Ghost with the data of conversing with tounges). The e book of Acts makes it very undeniable that it fairly is the only thank you to be a real Christian, through fact faith without works is lifeless. i wish this enables, and please do not think of i'm attempting to run everybody's ideals down, yet i'm purely telling the certainty.

Cats are as high maintenance as you want them to be. Cats can be happy with dry food and a balled up piece of paper.
But most owners tend to spoil their cats with expensive foods, toys, and entertainment. If you spoil it when it's young, most likely you will spoil it when it's old.
It all depends on your resources and your devotion to your kitty!
Hope this helps

i don't understand what you mean by "high maintenance"?
cats are independent creatures, and ultimately they own YOU....
otherwise i've never known a kitten to grow up to be a cat who wanted pedicures and to go to the salon, or out shopping that well.
take care

No, in fact they become lovable, but it's hard to spoil their independent nature.

For the most part, just like with humans, the higher you set the bar for expectations, the more difficult it can be to please them.
