I know that other elements in alcoholic beverages have calories, but does the alcohol itself have calories? If so, is it a carbohydrate, protein or fat?

Yes alcohol has calories. It has about 7 kcal/gram, where as fat has 9 kcal/gram with carbohydrate and protein having 4 kcal/gram.

Alcohol has calories, and lots of them. Here is a good article discussion how alcohol is metabolized and giving a rundown of the caloric value of different alcoholic drinks.

yes, but a small trick is to drink so much that you puke, then you purge all those nasty calories
