christians always think that people who disagree with them hate God or Jesus? Why can't they understand that if we hate anyone, it's them for being so arrogant and self ritcheous?

Well it's psychologically easier for them to write us off in that way... Nobody wants to be disliked and most people don't see their own faults, so it's natural to assume that instead of "they don't like me because I'm arrogant and self-righteous" they pass it off as "Well they must just hate Jesus, the sinning bastards."

This may be especially true of christians and muslims who get really pissy if they're challenged.

Sad to say, but most people Christian or other wise feel that if you don't agree with their point of view that you hate or dislike it. It's call being judgmental. Most judgmental people don't realize that it's ok to disagree with another, that's what make us human. It's call choice. Judgment is just a deflection of self reflection. And even Christian's can be guilty of that.

I'm a Christian who has many family members and really great friends from all walks of life a religions. I have no problem if you believe in God or not. Believing in God is not a prerequisite of my friendship or my ideas. Just like I wouldn't want anyone to impose themselves or their belief onto me, I respect them in the same manner. Believing in God or not Believing in God is a choice. I choose to Believe and respect the decision of those who choose not to.

Great Question!!!

You would be so much "taller" than they, if you didn't hate anyone or even use that word in a sentence.

I apologize for my Christian family telling you anything nasty or hateful. I hope that you will forgive their rudeness and arrogance. While we are all sinners and imperfect, they still should have shown you better character as a Christian example.

You may not beleive in God, for the moment, but I don't hate you. I am hoping that you will think carefully and accept everyone as individuals and not as a group. I also hope that you will open your heart to God's peace and love someday soon.

Peace to you always

Christians "always"?? I'm a Christian and that still makes me an individual. I don't think that people who disagree with me hate God, I believe they simply don't know Him. As for arrogance? I am humbled everyday to think that my God gave His life so that I might live. I don't hate anyone and I'm sorry that you seem to. I give my opinion and I'm more than willing to point anyone to the sources that I researched before coming to my decision but I don't belittle anyone for their beliefs. After all I was once one of the loudest detractors of all. Who am I to judge. For that matter, who are you to judge?

I don't hate them, but I feel sorry for them.
It's such a waste to limit yourself like that.

The arrogance comes, when we presume to know the nature of God. When we speak on his behalf & use him to justify our prejudices.

Then we are arrogant, ideas and spiritualism, love and communication I think should be the way to go.

They are projecting their feelings about people who disagree with them. They hate people who think differently or don't believe in God.

I suspect that those Christians who tell that particular lie are sincerely unaware of their extreme arrogance.

LOL! I don't get that! Christians seem to think that atheists are ant-christ or satan worshipers or something! We do not believe in a god and thereby do not believe in a satan either.

It also blows me away that Christians honestly think that you have to be religious to have morals, values and a good heart.

Its hogwash I say! Hogwash!
