I'm getting my ears pierced soon and I was wondering what it feels like. Please write a long paragraph on how they do it and what it feels like. Thanks! :)

They'll make a little mark where the holes will be before they pierce it(at least this is what they do with all of my piercings) It doesn't hurt to bad , kind of like a needle prick, that is if your just getting done in your lobe.

If it's the lobe you're getting pierced, it's a moderate pinch, that doesn't linger more than a minute or 2 after you are done. I know people who have had the cartlidge pieced on their ear, and most people have said that that is significantly more painful, and takes a long time to heal.

If you are in the UK you can pop into Claires Accessories- they do it there and you could probably watch. They bathe your ear with antiseptic and a light aneasthetic to deaden it and they take a gun with a needle in and push it through the lobe- a bit like a tagging gun that puts labels on clothes- it does sting a bit and it can be sore for a few days but you will be advised on what to bathe them with to keep them clean.

they sterilise your ears....put a pen dot where you would like the holes

Then they get a gun (sort of like a stapler) and BANG...before you know it you have a pierced ear

Its like a one second 'pinch'....that's all.....nothing to it

My daughter had her ears pierced aged 7 and laughed when she felt the 'pinch'

Best bit is then choosing some pretty earrings

Turn the earring every day...then 6 weeks later you can wear any ones you like

Its easy peasy and if you squeeze your ear lobe with your nail, that's what it feels like (but for a Milli second)

Good luck and don't worry

Mmmm, well it's not horrible.
I had my ear lobes peirced when I was a baby, but when I was 14 I had my cartilage peirced and it wasn't bad at all!!!
It just felt like someone hit me on my ear and left a little bruise.
When I had my cartilage peirced, I went to Claire's. (They did it for, I think, $25)* I waited in line, they called my name, I sat down in the little black chair in the window, the woman who did the peircings marked where I wanted the earring to go with a little purple marker, I picked out the earring I wanted, she put it in the peircing gun and peirced my ear! I'd say the whole experience took about 15-20 minutes: (waiting in line, choosing an earring, finding just where I wanted it on my ear)*
It was funny because there were two old women standing behind me and they asked me what I was having done. I told them I was having my cartilge peirced and they cringed. One of the old women was having her ears peirced for her 65th birthday, because she said she'd always been too afraid to peirce them when she was younger and just always wore clip-ons. They watched me get my cartilage done and jumped when I jumped! It was TOO funny. When I was done they came up to the little black chair and asked me, "did it hurt?" and I said, "no!" and they looked at each other in confusion.....!!!
It's not as bad as you may think. The real thing you need to be concerned about it, just keeping it clean afterward. Don't let it get infected and everything will be just fine!
Good luck, babe!!!

It's like having any sort of injection - hurts a bit.
The big problem is making sure the lobes don't get infected.
I found it uncomfortable trying to sleep when mine were done first - I couldn't lie on either side for a couple of days.

Only a little bit & very quickly.

You can apply ice for a few minutes before-hand if you want to numb your lobes.... but the pain without ice is so little, you probably don't need it unless you have a really low pain threshold.

Local is applied to the lobe and a very sharp needle fired at speed is used to make the hole. It is almost undetectable!
