I can't make myself have feelings. If it is something that is based upon feelings, then where is commitment in the deal? After all, we can't commit to catching or losing feelings.

to love someone is a feeling to start with that you want to spend every moment you can with this person. love takes time to grow and build. when you first love its usually on looks or lust. first you have to have a relationship where you want to know every detail of this persons life. and you want her to every detail of yours. and if sex is good that even makes it better. but love should still be there when the looks or hot sex are gone. and all this takes time i mean years to grow.

that **** slams into you like a brick wall!

the thing is, when you love somebody you want to do right by them. think about your family members or friends that you love. you can make commitments to them, based on the "feelings" you have for them. so there you are.

It's chemical. You can't make it happen if it doesn't. Commitment and monogamy are unnatural for all animals.

It's only our minds that lead us commit and find a reason to be monogamous.

I think it starts off as feelings, but then it grows into something you choose to do for the person.

I don't think you can force yourself to love someone, but you can stop yourself from allowing those feelings to develop.
